Car interior damage, tire or wheel damage, lost keys or damaged tools, misfuelling tank, towing services and taxi or transfer services if not autorized by us, are not included in the insurance. Garaging, parking and traffic fines is drivers responsability.

When making online reservations its available two options of payment: Pay on Pick-Up or Bank Transfer.

Pay on Pick-Up is done when colecting the vehicle and can be made by cash, debit card or credit card.

Bank Transfer option must be concluded before picking up the vehicle on the first day. When reservation is confirmed, an email will be sent with bank data for the transfer.

The vehicle will be delivered according to the location option selected when order was made. If the option was airport, a PointCar employe will be waiting outside the exit door identified with our logo.

Flight delays are not covered in the price and aditional fees can be charged if not prior selected.

The costs for pickup and drop off are:

Madeira International Airport:  15€ to pick and 15€ to drop off
Hotels in Funchal. Free
Hotels in Caniço: Free
Hotels in Cãmara de Lobos (center): Free
Other Locations in the Island: 30€ to pick and 30€ to drop off

The costs for after hours free are:

From 19:30 PM to 08:30 AM: Extra 20€ for pickup or dropoff.

Cancelations must be informed by email or phone/whatsapp 24 hours before the rental start date. There is no fee to cancelations but client can be added to black list to future orders, in our rent-a-car and partners.

All prices include taxes and full insurance ( please check "What is not included"). The minimal rental period is one day. If the return date is not respected adicional cost will be applied and authorities will be notified as "missing car".

It is not allowed to take the car to Porto Santo Island by ferry.

Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as delivered, adicional fuel when returning will not be reimbursed. When picking and delivering, a visual check for damages will be made in the presence of the client.

All locations for picking and delivery will be according to the reservation made. Changes of location is possible but contact must be made with 24 hours in advance.

If needed, vehicles will be substituted to other of the same group or superior.

Drivers age below 21 or over 70 years old must be approved by us in a prior contact. All drivers must have a valid drivers licence for the rented vehicle and minimum 2 years of licence.

The number of passagers is limited to the vehicle oficial seats. The full insurance is valid for driver and passagers.

In the event of any mechanical difficulties or accidents involving your car, it is important that details are reported to us immediately calling to (+351) 968 888 026.

In the event of an accident you must also complete an accident report form by the end of the rental period.

Local police should also be notified in the case of accidents/injuries and a signed police report obtained. Full details of third parties should also be obtained.

You are not given authority to repair a vehicle, and should retain copies of all rental documentation in the event an insurance company is involved.

Your insurance cover may be invalidated if this procedure is not followed correctly and this may prejudice any claim for compensation.
